Accessibility
Last updated July 23, 2026
We want everyone to be able to browse, order, and join the club with ease. Making this site usable for people of all abilities is part of the hospitality we care about.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we keep working to improve it as the site grows.
What we’ve done
- A skip-to-content link and a clear, consistent heading structure on every page.
- Full keyboard access to menus, forms, and buttons, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast on our warm palette.
- Labeled form fields, with errors announced to assistive technology.
- Reduced-motion support, so animations quiet down if your device asks for it.
- Descriptive alternative text for images that carry meaning.
How we test
We review the site with automated tools and by hand, including keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader checks, and we re-check pages when we add or change them.
Where we’re still improving
A few full-screen photographic sections place large, decorative type over imagery for a cinematic feel. We’re reviewing these to be sure nothing essential depends on them alone, and the underlying information is available in plain text elsewhere on the page. If any part of the site is hard to use, we want to hear about it.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into something that’s difficult to read or use, please let us know the page and what happened. Email contact@thecookie.club or use our contact form. We read every message and will do our best to help and to fix the issue, usually within a business day.
